Every day in Year 1 starts with 30 minutes of phonics. This week we have been focussing on reading and writing different spellings for the sound 'oo'.
Fire Of London Houses Continued

Year 1 worked collaboratively with their partners once again today to further develop their Fire of London houses. We discussed what had gone well last time, thought about what we needed to change or improved and shared good ideas. The houses are really taking shape now!

We had a very creative afternoon in Year 1 today, designing and building houses in the style of those that would have been in London at the time of the Great Fire. Year 1 showed super teamwork as they worked on their creations in pairs. Watch this space for pictures of our finished models in the near future!
Christmas Party

It's the last week of term and time to get the party started in Year 1! Everyone had a ball at our Key Stage 1 Christmas Party and enjoyed games, dancing and party food. Merry Christmas Everyone!
Nativity
