Adel St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School (ASJ) is a warm and welcoming school where all staff work hard to create a place for children to learn and play that is safe, inclusive, stimulating and caring.

We are passionate about providing the highest quality of education for all, so that every child has a chance to shine by offering a well-planned, broad and balanced curriculum that is underpinned by a strong Christian ethos. 

Our children’s achievements, attitudes and well-being matter as we strive to develop, in partnership with parents and carers, inspired, resilient and confident learners who behave in a respectful, caring and mature manner and strive to always do their best in their learning.

Adel St John the Baptist is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group.  Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size too.

We offer wraparound care for those parents and carers who need an extension to the school day.  The breakfast club opens at 7.30am and the after-school club closes at 6.00pm.  There is a charge for this service and more information, including how to book a place, can be found on our Out of School Club page.
