School Uniform
We have a smart school uniform, encouraging the children to take pride in themselves and to feel a sense of belonging in school.
We also try to ensure our uniform does not place an unreasonable financial burden on families and so the majority of items are available at low cost from supermarkets and other retailers. The only school specific items are the school jumper/cardigan and the optional school tie which can be purchased at either The School Uniform Shop in Meanwood or online through Your School Uniform. Please note, in the entrance to school we do have a small selection of pre-loved uniform that parents and carers are welcome to collect/exchange free of charge.
Our Uniform
- Mid-grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore
- School jumper or cardigan with or without school logo
- Classic White or Burgundy Polo Shirt [short sleeved] with or without school logo or a white cotton shirt
- Optional school tie
- Black or dark coloured outdoor shoes
- Indoor black pumps to change into
- Summer alternatives – red and white summer dress
PE Kit
- Plain black PE shorts, no shorter than mid-thigh
- White PE T-shirt (plain or with school logo)
- Black hoodie or zip-top (plain or with school logo)
- Trainers for outside
Additional information
- Hair – All children with hair of shoulder length or longer must have it tied back for school.
- Jewellery – No jewellery is allowed in school. The exception to this is that children with pierced ears may wear simple stud earrings if they are able to remove and replace these without assistance for PE. Watches are allowed and encouraged (no smart watches with internet connectivity, ability to take photos or make recordings.)
- Make up – Children are not allowed to wear make up to school.
- Nails – Nails should be of a suitable length for school and not decorated.
- Items named - it is inevitable that items of school clothing will go missing; please ensure that your child’s clothing is clearly labelled, so that lost property can be reunited with the rightful owner.
Reading bags costing £4.00 can be purchased at any time from the school office.
