Summer Term

20 April 2020 (by adelstjohn)

Welcome

I hope you all had a restful Easter break and welcome to our very first remote summer term! We’ve all had to adapt to new ways of working, so I wanted to take the opportunity to say what an amazing job you’re doing supporting your child’s wellbeing and learning during this time.

It’s definitely been a strange and challenging time but we’re here for each other every step of the way as we figure this all out together. Remember, if you have any concerns about helping your child learn or you need any other support, please let us know by contacting the school office or via email info@adel-st-john.leeds.sch.uk. I have also added information in the Home Learning Link for families to access practical, emotional or financial support if it is needed.

We miss the children very much, but we must follow the government’s guidance to keep everyone in our community safe. So, we’re carrying on with remote learning for the majority of our children and school provision for vulnerable pupils and children of critical workers.

But just because we’re not all in the same building, doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun together! We have loved seeing and showcasing what you are up to at home so please keep posting your pics on our Twitter site. We will continue to add learning and creative projects for your child via the home learning link as well as links added to the weekly newsletter. Please remember to create a balance of learning, physical exercise and down time to support the wellbeing of everyone.

Finally, we can’t say yet when we’ll be able to open the school fully, but rest assured that we’ll continue doing our utmost to keep your child learning and our wonderful ASJ community connected.

Take care

Jane Hainsworth
