Dear parent/carer,

From tomorrow until Thursday the Met Office have given an amber weather warning for Yorkshire.  Afternoon temperatures are likely to climb above 30 degrees Celsius.  Please could your child come to school with a filled water bottle, a sun hat and have sun cream applied.  Sandals or crocs are ideal footwear in this heat; please, no flip flops.  

During playtimes, especially at lunchtime, the children will take shade in the Coppice of trees on the field.  Early morning, Francis will open windows to allow learning spaces to be well ventilated and cool.  During the day, window blinds will be drawn.  For PE, no physical activity when temperatures are above 30oC - alternative activities will be planned.
