Dear parent/carer,

A quick update of our school snow procedures if conditions do not improve overnight or there is potential further snow we will do one of three things 

• Open as normal as we are confident the site will be safe and staff are able to get in safely and on time. 
• Delay the start of the school day to allow the paths and car park to be gritted and to allow staff additional time to arrive at work safely.
• As a last resort, shut the school for the day

If a delayed start or school closure is required we will notify you by:

• A message sent via the school mobile app as soon as a decision has been made.
• A scrolling message on the home page of our school website: https://www.adel-st-john.leeds.sch.uk/ 
• Leeds City Council School Closures section: https://www.leeds.gov.uk/schools-and-education/school-closures   

Any changes will be communicated to you as early as is possible and before breakfast club opens at 7.30am.  Please do not ring school if it is snowing. The above methods will be our primary methods of communicating any changes to the usual day-to-day arrival or departure procedures.
