Dear parents and carers

The governors would like to announce that they have appointed a new parent governor, Dave Roberts.

His personal statement is as follows:

''I am a Deputy Head supporting four Social, Emotional and Mental Health schools in Leeds and North Yorkshire, my main area of responsibility is safeguarding and I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead for two of the four schools. In addition to this I have helped implement safeguarding supervision across 29 schools in my Trust. I am a Trust Governor for 3 special schools in the Barnsley and Huddersfield area and I lead on providing safeguarding direction and advice for them. I am also half way through my PhD looking at retention and recruitment of schools and I believe this would also support the journey for Adel St John Primary School.''
