Welcome to Year 3!
Miss Jackson will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Miss Christie will be teaching on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; Mrs McDonald will be our teaching assistant all week. We are all excited to get to know the children, support them in their learning and have lots of fun along the way!

Exploring pneumatics

We also started our DT project this week and this half term we are focusing on mechanisms using pneumatics. This was a fantastic lesson as the children were all fascinated by what is meant by pneumatics. We explored three different types as a class, which then helped them each decide which mechanism they would use to design and create a toy for a year one child for Christmas. The children had some amazing ideas and we are looking forward to creating them next week.
