Welcome to Year 3, and to Key Stage 2! Please find below all the information you should need for a smooth transition to Year 3!
On this page, you should find everything you need to know - our Meet the Teacher Information Evening presentation, curriculum map, knowledge organisers and weekly blog (starting on Friday) are full of information but please contact us should there be anything else you need - please address any emails to both teachers.
Mrs Moleele will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays and Miss Christie will teach on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs McDonald and Miss McNamara will be our teaching assistants all week. Miss Smith and Mrs Starkey will cover PPA time.

Shadow Investigators

In science this week, we carried out a scientific investigation based on shadows. The focus of our scientific enquiry was based on comparison and fair testing. We wanted to find out what happens to a shadow when a light source is close to an opaque object and when it is further away. We found out as a class that a shadow is larger when the light source is closer to the object. The children all worked brilliantly in groups, using fantastic measuring skills and ensuring their testing was fair.
